Treatment
AlumierMD Chemical Peels exfoliate the surface of your skin to loosen the bonds between healthy and dead cells and stimulates new cell growth. Over time, skin will shed dead cells and produce fresh, radiant new skin. This skin rejuvenation treatment enhances the texture and appearance of the skin, replacing a dull or tired look with a bright and glowing one. The procedure takes 15-20 minutes and can be performed during your lunch hour.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which areas can be treated?:
The main areas targeted with chemical peels include the face and chest. Other areas that can be treated include the back, arms and buttocks. Chemical peels improve acne, uneven skin tone or texture, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, age or sun spots, enlarged pores, and hyperpigmentation.
Will this treatment cause unsightly peeling?:
No. In most cases, peeling is very subtle and may not be noticeable to the naked eye. AlumierMD peels are forumlated to reduce redness and downtime.
Do Allumier Chemical Peels hurt?:
Your skin specialist will carefully monitor your skin during treatment with regular check-ins of your comfort level. A mild “prickling” sensation that may cause discomfort is common, but treatment will be ended should you experience any sensation beyond your comfort level.
What can I expect after the treatment?:
It is not uncommon to initially feel mild tenderness and experience some redness. Your skin will be extra sun-sensitive during this period, so it is important to protect the treated area from sun exposure. Approximately 3-5 days after treatment you may notice shedding or peeling of exfoliated skin cells, bringing forward a more rejuvenated complexion. If you don’t see visible peeling on the surface of the skin, this is okay too. Peeling will still be occurring at a cellular level.
