Shannon Roche
Director, Medical Esthetician & Laser Technician
Shannon’s journey in the industry began in 2002, when she became a professionally licensed esthetician. She went on to earn and maintain her medical esthetics and laser technician certifications, building a strong foundation in the science, skill, and artistry of professional skincare.
But Shannon’s story took an unexpected turn. An opportunity in Human Resources led to a remarkable 15-year corporate career, culminating in a Director-level position with a multibillion-dollar North American company. Along the way, she developed the leadership, operational expertise, and commitment to excellence that would eventually become defining elements of her own business.
Yet despite her corporate success, her passion for esthetics never faded.
Shannon returned to the industry with a clear vision of what a spa could be: a place where technical expertise meets thoughtful, personalized care; where ongoing education and rigorous training are non-negotiable; and where clients are treated as individuals, never numbers. Drawing on the high standards instilled in her by her own mentors, she set out to build something that reflected those values in every detail.
In July 2020, that vision became Divine & Free Wellness & Medical Spa. What began as a dream has grown into a destination for clients seeking elevated experiences, advanced aesthetic treatments, and a team genuinely invested in their care.
Today, Shannon brings together her background in medical aesthetics and executive leadership to guide the business, mentor her team, and continually evolve the Divine & Free experience.

Dr. Deanne Watrich
Medical Director MD CCFM (EM)
At Divine & Free, all injectable treatments are personally administered by Dr. Watrich, a physician whose approach to aesthetics is grounded in medical expertise, precision, and a deep respect for natural beauty.
Beyond her work in cosmetic injectables, Dr. Watrich is an Emergency Physician at the Misericordia Hospital, works in emergency ultrasound and underwater and hyperbaric medicine, and serves as a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Alberta’s Department of Emergency Medicine. Her diverse medical background reflects a commitment to clinical excellence, ongoing learning, and thoughtful patient care.
When it comes to injectables, Dr. Watrich is known for her conservative, individualized approach. Rather than chasing trends or dramatically changing the face, she focuses on enhancing natural contours, improving facial balance, and creating subtle refinements that leave you looking refreshed, never overdone.
Her philosophy is simple: great aesthetic work should complement your features, not compete with them. Every face is different, and her approach reflects that, with careful consideration of facial structure, symmetry, and each patient’s individual goals.

Amanda is a licensed Medical Esthetician trained at MC College and the Aesthetic Laser Training Academy. She brings a wealth of hands-on experience and a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to every treatment. With particular expertise in acne-prone and challenging skin, she understands that great skin isn’t about a one-size-fits-all solution. It’s about understanding your skin, building the right treatment plan, and helping you feel confident in the process.
Her expertise extends well beyond the treatment room, with a versatile skill set spanning advanced medical aesthetics, customized skincare, manicures, pedicures, and waxing. No matter the service, Amanda pairs technical knowledge with a meticulous touch and a genuine commitment to your experience.

With a career in esthetics that began at just 17, Lacey brings over two decades of experience, an exceptional eye for detail, and a curiosity for all things skin. Licensed through the Alberta Academy of Esthetics in 2005 and additionally certified as a laser technician, she has built her expertise through years of hands-on experience and an ongoing commitment to learning.
Her passion translates directly into the care she provides. Lacey approaches every treatment and product recommendation with intention, precision, and an investment in her clients’ results. She believes in knowing her products inside and out, understanding her clients’ unique needs, and never settling for anything less than her best.

Marketing & Guest Relations Manager
Working in the medical spa industry since 2016, McKenna brings an extensive knowledge of advanced treatments and a genuine passion for the science behind skincare. As our Marketing & Spa Manager, she plays an integral role in shaping the Divine & Free experience, from building our brand and connecting with our community to helping ensure you feel welcomed, informed, and cared for.
Her passion for skin health is personal, too. Having navigated her own skin challenges, McKenna understands how overwhelming it can be to find answers, sort through conflicting advice, and determine what is right for your skin. This perspective has shaped her commitment to helping clients make informed decisions, particularly those with sensitive, reactive, or difficult-to-manage skin.

Since graduating from MC College in 2022, Taya has continued to build her expertise with a clear interest in expanding her knowledge and refining her skills. She pursued further training in Medical Esthetics at La Vie Academy in 2023, followed by an Advanced Pedicures certification from the European Institute of Esthetics in 2024. Her commitment to ongoing education reflects the care she puts into developing her craft and delivering treatments to a high standard.
Taya believes great service starts with understanding the individual behind the treatment. She takes a personalized approach to client care, paying attention to the details and ensuring each experience feels thoughtful, comfortable, and tailored to your needs.
