How Chemical Peels Work

Chemical Peels exfoliate the skin’s surface, loosening the bonds between healthy and dead cells while stimulating the growth of fresh, new skin. Over time, this process reveals a vibrant, glowing complexion, replacing compromised, dull or tired skin with a brighter, more youthful appearance. The procedure typically takes just 20 minutes, making it perfect for an express refresh.

Our skin specialists will work with you to analyze your skin’s needs and determine the best chemical peel for your specific concerns. Each treatment is highly customizable, ensuring optimal results tailored to your skin’s unique condition.

Chemical Peel Frequently Asked Questions

Which areas can be treated?:

Chemical peels are primarily used on the face and chest, but can also be applied to other areas such as the back, arms, and buttocks. These treatments effectively address a variety of skin concerns, including acne, uneven skin tone or texture, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, age or sun spots, enlarged pores, and hyperpigmentation.

Whether you’re looking for overall skin rejuvenation or targeting specific concerns, chemical peels provide a powerful solution for smoother, clearer skin.

Will this treatment cause unsightly peeling?:

In most cases, peeling after a chemical peel is very subtle. You may notice peeling and flaking as the skin heals, especially with more aggressive peel formulations. With a gentler formula, is not uncommon to not see any surface flaking.

Our peels are specially formulated to minimize redness and reduce downtime, ensuring a more comfortable and discreet rejuvenation process. However, individual response to the treatment does differ.

Do Chemical Peels hurt?:

Our peels are gently formulated for comfort. Throughout your treatment, your skin specialist will closely monitor your comfort level with regular check-ins.

A mild “prickling” sensation is common and may cause some discomfort and can be adjusted to your tolerance.

What can I expect after the treatment?:

After your treatment, it’s common to experience mild tenderness and redness. Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun during this time, so it’s essential to protect the treated area from sun exposure.

Around 3-5 days after treatment, you may notice shedding or peeling of exfoliated skin cells, revealing a fresher, more rejuvenated complexion. If you don’t see visible peeling, don’t worry—cellular shedding is still occurring beneath the surface for continued skin renewal.
