Do AlumierMD Chemical Peels hurt?:
Throughout your treatment, your skin specialist will closely monitor your comfort level with regular check-ins.
A mild “prickling” sensation is common and may cause some discomfort, but if you experience any sensation beyond your comfort level, the treatment will be paused or adjusted to ensure a positive experience.
What can I expect after the treatment?:
After your treatment, it’s common to experience mild tenderness and redness. Your skin will be more sensitive to the sun during this time, so it’s essential to protect the treated area from sun exposure.
Around 3-5 days after treatment, you may notice shedding or peeling of exfoliated skin cells, revealing a fresher, more rejuvenated complexion. If you don’t see visible peeling, don’t worry—cellular shedding is still occurring beneath the surface for continued skin renewal.
