How many treatments will I need?
The reduction of submental fat will gradually improve over a series of treatments provided by our doctor, tailored to your specific profile. Typically 3-4 treatments are suggested booked 4-6 weeks apart. A maximum of 6 treatments can be performed.
When will I see results?
The appearance of fullness in the chin will gradually improve over time and with subsequent treatments. After one injection, the process of eliminating fat from the chin may take 4-8 weeks as the deoxycholic acid destroys fat cells. During this time, the area may appear swollen.
How long will my results last?
Once fat cells are destroyed, they cannot come back. Results from Double Chin Treatment are permanent.
Does it hurt?
Minimal discomfort may be experienced during your treatment. Some individuals may feel small pokes and a tenderness from the deoxycholic acid.
Are there side effects?
The submental region is expected to swell after the initial injection. This is the deoxycholic acid going to work. Swelling will generally significantly reduce in the following days after your injection but may remain for 4-8 weeks. Bruising, numbness, and small areas of hardness may occur.
